Julie was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois, to Glen and Jeanne Johnson. A couple months later, they moved to Palos Park. Julie performed in her first play at the young age of 3. At age 6, she went on to play Annie, in the musical 'Annie'. From that moment on, her parents knew she was meant to be a performer. Julie attended Carl Sandburg High School where she performed as a member of the Orchesis Dance Troupe. In addition, she was a member of the swimming and gymnastics teams. Julie was also a figure skater performing in many competitions.

   Julie received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre from Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois. While there, she performed in various plays and musicals. Some of her favorites were, Jake's Women, Pillow Talk, Oh! What A Lovely War, Singin' in the Rain and Pippin. She took a semester off to perform with the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, Florida. Julie also performed at Six Flags Great America, in Gurnee, Illinois for 3 seasons.

   After graduating from Lewis, Julie decided that it was time to make the move to Los Angeles. She is currently residing between Los Angeles and New York City, to pursue her dream of acting, singing, dancing and writing .  She has completed three screenplays and is working in television, film and theatre. 

   Julie is a proud member of SAG, AFTRA and AEA.
